California Fire Sprinkler Design
NFPA 13D Residential Fire Sprinkler
Design for California
Stamped, permit-ready submittal packages designed by a California C-16 licensed contractor with over a decade of field experience. We know California building codes, local AHJ requirements, and what it takes to pass review the first time.
California residential fire sprinkler requirements
California has required fire sprinkler systems in all new one- and two-family dwellings since January 1, 2011 under the California Residential Code (CRC Section R313.1). This applies to all new construction and significant remodels statewide.
What the code requires
All new one- and two-family dwellings must have an automatic fire sprinkler system designed per NFPA 13D and the California Building Code (CBC).
The system must be designed by a C-16 licensed fire protection contractor and approved by the local authority having jurisdiction (AHJ) before installation.
What we provide
Complete NFPA 13D submittal packages that meet California Building Code requirements and your specific AHJ's submittal standards.
Every package is stamped by a California C-16 licensed contractor (License #1138035) and built to pass AHJ review on first submission.
We work with California AHJs
Every AHJ in California has its own submittal requirements, local amendments, and review process. We build each package to match your jurisdiction's specific expectations, not a generic template.
