Our Process

From submittal to permit-ready plans

Four steps from inquiry to delivered plans, plus a built-in safety net. Here's exactly how working with us looks.

1

Submit your project

Send the required documents through our intake form or email them directly to cshearer@shearerfire.com. We confirm receipt within 1 business day.

Required

  • Site Plan with water supply info
  • Floor Plan
  • Water Flow Reports
  • Section View (if no roof framing)

Appreciated

  • Electrical Plan
  • Roof Framing Plans
  • AHJ contact info
  • Prior AHJ correspondence

Preferred file format: .CAD — We also accept high-resolution .PDF files. Hand-drawn plans may require additional drafting time.

2

Our quote

After reviewing your documents, you get a fixed quote and contract. Typically same day or next business day. The quote covers the full submittal package: design plans, hydraulic calculations, product data sheets, AHJ documentation, and one revision. No hidden fees, no hourly billing. You know the exact cost before committing.

3

The full design submittal

Plans, hydraulic calculations, and all AHJ submittal documents — typically 3-7 business days from contract signature. Every plan is reviewed by our lead designer before delivery.

Your submittal package includes:

  • Fire sprinkler design plans with system riser detail
  • Hydraulic calculations
  • Product data sheets
  • Supporting AHJ documentation
4

Permit-ready handoff

Stamped, finalized plans delivered and ready to submit to your AHJ. We're available for follow-up questions during the permitting process. If your AHJ has questions about the design, we handle the response directly.

+

Revision (if needed)

One revision included if your AHJ requests changes. Typical turnaround: 3 business days. Additional revisions beyond the first are available at $80 per revision.
